2. The Mabinogion:
• A collection of Middle Welsh prose know by the curious name of Mabinogion.
• 11 separate tales are normally included within the Mabinogion corpus. The Mabinogion texts are concerned with the heroic age or mythodological past of the British Isles.
• The texts were written from c.1100 to c.1300-1350 (c = ±)

Arthurian legend
The Arthurian legend was made popular by Geoffrey of Monmouth in his writing History of the kings of Britain written in 1135 AD. The author drew upon earlier histories including History of the Britons by Nennius, the Annales Cambriae, and the Complaining Book of Gildas
